POST TITLE:  Higher Level Teaching Assistant

SALARY SCALE:  Scale F

HOUR PER WEEK: 13 hours per week

WEEKS PER YEAR:  39 weeks – Term time + 1 week

REQUIRED FOR: As soon as possible

The Flourish Federation is looking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work between our two schools; Stibbard All Saints CEVA Primary and North Elmham CEVA Primary School.

The hours will be split equally over two days with one day based at Stibbard All Saints Primary and one day at North Elmham Primary. The role will include HLTA support in classrooms covering for the class teachers and supporting children with their learning and development, working under the direction of the class teachers. The successful candidate will also be required to supervise children for half an hour during each school’s usual lunch break.

The working hours will be from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm over the two days, with a half hour lunch break.  

The role will be temporary until 31st August 2021 initially due to the needs of the current pupils but may become permanent in due course.

We are seeking to appoint a colleague who:

  • Has a suitable HLTA qualification
  • is able to use their initiative to support the learning needs of pupils 
  • is enthusiastic and energetic and enjoys working with children and is able to demonstrate the ability to form positive and supportive relationships with both pupils and staff
  • is calm and flexible in their approach and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • Has experience of the use of appropriate interventions for children
  • ●      is willing to undertake training as required, attend necessary meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school

POST TITLE:  Midday Supervisory Assistant

SALARY SCALE:  Scale A

HOUR PER WEEK: 7.50 hours

WEEKS PER YEAR:  38 weeks – Term time only

REQUIRED FOR: 4th January 2021

The Flourish Federation is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to work at North Elmham Primary School.

The hours will be from midday to 1.30 pm daily, Monday to Friday. The position includes supervision of our pupils during the school lunch break, both whilst they are eating their lunch and then for a period of either indoor or outdoor play. The role will also include some setting up of the lunchtime areas and some cleaning after the lunch break has ended.

We are seeking to appoint a colleague who:

  • Enjoys working with children and preferably has some experience in a similar setting or experience from a voluntary role
  • Has a calm and caring nature but is able to be firm and encourage children to demonstrate acceptable behaviour during the lunch break
  • Demonstrates they can promote and lead positive play during the school lunch break
  • Is flexible in their approach and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, whilst following the school’s policies and procedures
  • Can show initiative and will ensure the safety of pupils at all times
  • is willing to undertake training as required, attend necessary meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school

POST TITLE:  Nursery Assistant

SALARY SCALE:  Scale C

HOUR PER WEEK: 24.50 hours

WEEKS PER YEAR:  39 weeks – Term time plus 1 week

REQUIRED FOR: January 2021

The Flourish Federation is looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to work within the Nursery setting at Stibbard All Saints CEVA Primary & Nursery School.

The role will be based in the Nursery room at Stibbard All Saints Primary School. The position will include supporting the children attending the Nursery setting and working with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to deliver a suitable programme of activities. The role will include acting as a keyworker for a small number of children and compiling a record of their development as well as involving parents/carers in their child’s progress.

The Nursery setting also provides before and after school care for the primary school pupils so working hours will be flexible between 7.30am and 5.00 pm.

The role will initially be until 31st August 2021 due to uncertainty regarding pupil numbers but it may become permanent in due course.

We are seeking to appoint a colleague who:

  • preferably has experience of working in an Early Years Setting; either a Nursery or within an Early Years classroom
  • preferably has a suitable qualification (NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent) or a childcare qualification
  • preferably has an awareness of the Foundation Stage Curriculum and experience of using the online journal, Tapestry
  • is enthusiastic and energetic and enjoys working with children and is able to demonstrate the ability to form positive and supportive relationships with both pupils and staff
  • has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • is able to use their initiative to support the learning needs of pupils under the direction of the Nursery Manager
  • is calm and flexible in their approach and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • is willing to undertake training as required, attend necessary meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school
